Convicted Ohio high school killer escapes from prison

LIMA, Ohio — Lima police say T.J. Lane is one of two men who escaped from the Allen Oakwood Correctional Institution in Lima, Ohio at 5:45 MT Thursday night.

Lane is behind bars for the Chardon High School shooting. He opened fire inside the school on February 27, 2012 killing three students and injuring three others.

Police say 19-year-old Lane escaped with a 45-year-old man named Clifford E Opperud, who was also a prisoner at the facility.

Both men are wearing prison blues.

An all-out search is under way for both men.
