Hickenlooper, Beauprez to meet in first debate

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Gov. John Hickenlooper and his Republican challenger Bob Beauprez will meet for their first debate of the gubernatorial election on the Western Slope.

The candidates will debate Saturday evening in Grand Junction at an event hosted by Club 20.

Hickenlooper is running for reelection for the first time after cruising into the governor’s office in 2010.

Beauprez, a former congressman, is running for a second time for the office.  He was defeated in 2006.

    Hickenlooper has said if he’s not re-elected he will give Nathan Dunlap clemency!!!!!! and this is the governor we want here ????? nope. he also is a partner in a restaurant that hired illegals one of which had been arrested for DUI and was still here. nothing happened until the illegal killed someone while driving drunk.
