Fort Carson to welcome 150 soldiers home

FORT CARSON, Colo, — Fort Carson Army Base will welcome home about 150 soldiers who have been serving in Afghanistan for the past six months.

A homecoming ceremony will be held at the base at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Soldiers from the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, were deployed in March.  They helped train and advise Afghan security forces, the base said.

The troops set the security conditions for Afghanistan’s presidential and runoff elections.
