ERIE, Colo. -- All five people on board were killed Sunday when a small plane crashed near the Erie Municipal Airport.
A dog also appeared to have died in the crash.
The plane, a single-engine Piper PA-46, crashed under unknown circumstances about noon, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The plane was initially identified as being based in Washington state, put further investigation determined that it was local to Erie.
There was no fire following the crash, indicating the victims died from the crash impact.
The victims were identified Monday as 67-year-old Oliver Frascona, 41-year-old Tori Rains-Wedan, 15-year-old Mason Wedan and 11-year-old twins Austin and Hunter Wedan.AlertMe
