Lakewood police seek help in locating at-risk adult

UPDATE 9:53 p.m.: Melanie Olmsted has been found safe.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Lakewood police are asking for help in locating an at-risk adult.

Melanie Olmsted, 28, was last seen Thursday at 8:45 a.m. in the 800 block of Swadley Street, police said. Olmsted, who is mentally disabled, was described as being approximately five feet two inches tall, weighing 170 pounds and having brown hair and blue eyes.

This morning,  she was seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue shorts, and blue sandals. Olmsted holds her right arm at an angle and walks with a distinct limp, police said. She frequently takes walks around her neighborhood but has always returned home in the past.
