DENVER -- Bomb techs destroyed a suspicious device found on the roof of a building in LoDo Tuesday afternoon, the Denver Police Department reported.

A possible homemade bomb was reported on a rooftop in the 600 block of West 29th Avenue, police said. Skyfox captured video of nearly a dozen firefighters and other emergency personnel investigating the object and then detonating it shortly after 4 p.m.

The experts used a water cannon to render the device inert.

It was not immediately known whether the device was dangerous.
