Two deputies, one woman injured in brief car chase

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — Police were sorting out the details Sunday afternoon of a brief car chase that left two deputies and a driver injured.

During a routine traffic stop, a woman briefly got out of her car but quickly jumped back inside and fled, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office reported. Two deputies suffered minor injuries as she tried to drive away, police said.

Deputies chased her for about five minutes before she struck another vehicle near 73rd Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, police said.

The woman was arrested following the crash. The driver of the other vehicle was hospitalized.

Both deputies were hospitalized and then released.
