DENVER — A driver going the wrong way on the northbound HOV lanes on Interstate 25 collided with another vehicle Friday afternoon.

The crash involved a white Jeep and a black sedan.

State Patrol investigators believe the woman who was going southbound when the HOV lanes were open to northbound traffic was driving under the influence of drugs.

The Colorado State Patrol said the crash happened around 12:45 p.m. in the HOV lane near 60th Avenue.

Both drivers went to Denver Health Medical Center and were in serious condition Friday night.

CDOT said they closed the HOV lane while the Colorado State Patrol investigated.  The main highway was still open.

No charges had been filed against the woman yet.
