Liver Life Walk is Sunday at City Park

DENVER -- More than 30 million Americans are at risk of developing liver disease but are unaware of it.  The Liver Life Walk provides support to raise awareness and also for important research that will benefit people everywhere.

Researchers are finding that an unhealthy lifestyle that includes a diet high in sugar and fat can lead can increase your chances of developing liver disease. In fact, there is a marked increase in fatty liver disease in this country.

The demand for organ donation is already at the crisis level with 17,000 people in need of a life-saving liver transplant.  If you want to help support the American Liver Foundation, come on out to the liver life walk.

It's Sunday at City Park Pavilion.  The walk begins at 9 a.m., but get there early to register.  There's also a kiddo fun run at 8:45 a.m.
