VAIL, Colo. -- On the, or should we say, under the Sourdough Lift, one of the Vail resort’s workers found ‘the ring.’ Not the one Golloum was trying to steal from the Hobbits, rather one that was given by a woman named Sue, to her husband. That much information is inscribed on the inside of the band.

“We have reached more than 1 million people with social media,” says Liz Biebl of Vail Mountain. “Our hope is someone who lost their ring knows the rest of the inscription and will claim the lost ring found.”

At the resort, many men we spotted who knew about the lost ring, had their hands in their pockets… I guess trying to make sure their ring stayed on their ring fingers. While Sue’s hubby is/was in the dog house for a time, Vail has a ‘get-out-of-the-dog house’ chit… all Sue’s man needs to do is get in touch with Vail Mountain ski center!
