Denver-bound flight diverted after warning light goes on
DENVER — A flight en route from Minnesota to Denver was diverted Sunday when a warning light went on in the cockpit.
Flight 3809 out of Minneapolis-St. Paul landed safely in Sioux City, Iowa, after the pilot decided to land out of “an abundance of caution,” an airline rep said. No emergency was declared, and no additional problems were reported.
The source of the problem was a power source indication light, Southwest said. If left alone, the most likely effect of the issue would have been loss of power to interior lights, coffee machines and other non-essential items, Southwest said.
Passengers from Flight 3809 were expected to arrive in Denver at 6:30 p.m.AlertMe
