FORT COLLINS, Colo.  — A series of fires along South College Avenue in Fort Collins may have been deliberately set, firefighters said Sunday.

About 6:17 a.m., Poudre Fire Authority responded to several suspicious fires along South College Avenue, the department said. Each small blaze appeared to have been deliberately set in landscaping materials near commercial structures between Drake Road and Monroe Drive, firefighters said.

All of the fires were quickly knocked down, doing only about $5,000 in damage, PFA said. However, investigators are probing the possibility of arson.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Colorado Arson Hotline at (877-892-7766.
