Colorado Sen. Mark Udall, a Democrat, faces reelection in 2014.

DENVER — Colorado Democratic Sen. Mark Udall is among the candidates that will get money this fall from Americans for Responsible Solutions, the gun control advocacy group founded by former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly.

The group, which expects to raise more than $20 million this year but hasn’t indicated how much it plans to spend, may also go after Congressman Mike Coffman, R-Aurora, an opponent of gun control who is battling Democrat Andrew Romanoff in one of the tightest House races of the 2014 cycle.

While the group aims to counter the advertising from the National Rifle Association and other anti-gun control groups, its spending in Colorado may run counter to its goal of helping pro-gun control Democrats, given how the issue played out here in 2013 with three Democrats forced from office due to a recall movement sparked as part of a backlash to new gun control laws enacted by the Democratic legislature.

While Democrats at the Capitol fought hard to defend the new laws this year in response to GOP repeal efforts, they’d just as soon the gun control issue not be on voters minds this fall.

Americans for Responsible Solutions is backing a number of Democrats in competitive races who voted for the bipartisan legislation to tighten background checks last spring: Sens. Mary Landrieu, D-La., Kay Hagan, D-N.C. and Al Franken D-Minn.; and Reps. Ron Barber. D-Ariz., Ann Kuster, D-N.H., Carol Shea-Porter, D-N.H., and Bruce Braley, D-Iowa, who is running for the Senate.

But the group is also backing Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine,who’s favored for reelection, and Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., in a closely watched race.

Gun-control groups’ endorsements are usually the kiss of death in Colorado. I hope they endorse Hickenlooper too.

HA HA HA. Good luck with that one anti gun peeps. The anti gun groups are suffering from agenda syndrome. Not paying attention to the trends and momentum can cost you a lot of credibility. LOL.

Just remember the constitution, American morals disintegrating, federal land grabs, horse carriages being banned in NYC, parents being prosecuted for disciplining their children, college tuition for illegal criminals being paid for by the taxpayer, common core failure, death row inmates being let off and all the handouts including health care handouts this year when you vote!

I’m wondering when she’s going to demand her traitor husband be arrested and charged with the attempted straw purchase. This woman is a Nazi, and so is anyone who supports her. It’s clear where Mark Udall’s “values” are. Sieg Heil!

Democrats have proven their disdain for the Constitution. They claim the Second Amendment is not unlimited yet have absolutely no limiting principle when it comes to those infringements. They want to amend the First Amendment.

If you value your freedom, liberty, free markets, opportunities in the US and vote Democrat – don’t complain when they continue to erode the Constitution and YOUR Bill of Rights.

Gun control? With all the national problems that Obama Dems have foisted on Colo. , America in general, and gun control advocates support Dems?Yikes. With ACA, VA, Bergdahl, IRS, NSA, Iran, borders, Fast, EPA regs, joblessness, and these people think the Dems that have ruined America should be re-elected? Madness. Vote all the Dems out in Nov.

Why would any gun control group give money to Udall. Udall is a sure thing for you! After all, we told him “no” on Obimbocare and he voted for it…….we told him “yes” on the Keystone Pipeline” and he voted against it. It’s pretty clear where he will votte, don’t you think! FIRE THE LIAR IN 2014!
