DENVER — Boots the cat was found with her back legs cut off when she was just two weeks old.

She has been in foster care at Life is Better Rescue in Denver since that time. Read more about Boots’ story here.

She has temporary prosthetic rear legs, and she’s learned to do “paw-stands” on her front paws to bound down stairs in no time at all.

The Denver Post reports the woman taking care of her, Megan Brocato of Denver, says the cat learned the skill on her own.

The cat still needs more surgery before she gets permanent prosthetics. Brocato says she’s loves Boots and intends to adopt her.
