DENVER — John Elway teed it up Wednesday at the Colorado Senior Open golf tournament.

The Broncos Hall of Fame quarterback and current executive is a pretty good golfer. He’s tied for fourth place after he shot a 1-under par Wednesday.

And perhaps one big reason why is his caddie, 14-year-old Davis Bryant.

The teen’s dad is the golf pro at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club. Elway hand-picked him last week to be his caddie for this tournament.

But imagine trying to convince your friends at school you’re going to be Elway’s caddie.

Needless to say, they think it’s pretty cool.

Elway says the teen definitely helped him. He knows Green Valley Ranch upside down and backwards and he provides great tips about handling the greens.
