BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Cat's Incredible!
Man's best friend? In one case it's a cat.
Roger Triantafilo posted a surveillance video on YouTube showing his son riding his bike in front of the family home in southwest Bakersfield when a neighbor's dog came up and started attacking him.
Within seconds, the family cat came out of nowhere, jumped on the dog to get it off the boy and chased it away.
The video ends with footage of the injuries the boy suffered.
"Thankfully, my son is fine!" Triantafilo wrote.
The boy's mother, Erica Triantafilo, told KGET her son received 10 stitches and the neighbors voluntarily had the dog quarantined.

I was attacked by a German Sheppard when I was about 7. The owner, a 10 year old girl, was the neighborhood bully at the time and we had been in conflicts. I think the dog simply acted on the perception of its owners feelings of hostility toward me. My parents insisted the dog be destroyed.
