Two Denver Police officers save woman from burning home

DENVER -- Two Denver Police officers saved a woman from a house fire in the 4500 block of Lipan Street on Friday.

Police say a call came in just after 1130 a.m. of a house fire at 4541 Lipan St. A woman was in the home and rescued by two sergeants. The woman was then  transported to a local hospital with burns.

A dog was also in the home and rescued. It is with animal control.

The fire was out in about 12 minutes.
