Loves TV and Movies

The Amazon Fire TV is the newest smart TV box that connects to your big screen.  It's going head to head with boxes like the Roku and Apple TV.  It works with Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu, Pandora and other streaming services.  With the Fire TV you get access to Amazon's app store which continues to expand every day.  The unique feature is the microphone built into the included remote control.  Hold down the button and say the name of an actor, movie, TV show or app and Amazon Fire TV will find it.  The Fire TV box will also wirelessly stream photos and videos that you shot with your smartphone.  It's a great way to enjoy those memories on the big screen.

The Amazon Fire TV is $99 and available in stores and online.

Mom to be

For the Mom to be, Bellabeat is a device that attaches to a smartphone so you can listen to and record your baby's heartbeat on your phone.  The app allows you to share those recordings with friends and family.  You can also track your baby's progress with the Bellabeat app.

Bellabeat is $130 and compatible with iPhone/iPad and Android.

Tablet mania

Tablets are everywhere and if Mom doesn't have one yet, perhaps it's about time.  Prices have come down and the technology keeps getting better.  The latest iPad Mini line-up starts at $300 and is a perfect companion for the Mom who already has an iPhone.  If you want to spend less or if Mom prefers Android, check out the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7" or the Google Nexus 7 for $230.
