DENVER -- You plug in your laptop, your smart phone ... a hair dryer. But now more consumers are choosing to plug in their cars.

And BMW has added a car to that group called the I-3.

    Saving money?
And just how much did those cars cost?
It is going to take a long time to recover the $10.000 or more that those cars cost over their equivalent gas powered ones.

The Chevy Volt has a total cost of ownership (that’s EVERYTHING) several thousands lower than ANY gasoline only car, even the “economy” class cars from Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, etc (and yet the Volt is a nicer and safer car!). Look it up. And if you don’t need the extended range feature (drive 50 or less miles a day) the Nissan LEAF 5 year TCO is even less. Don’t believe the myths you’ve been spoon fed.
