Jennifer Broome takes us to Wash Park for some longboarding.

Longboarding is not just skateboarding on a longer board. It’s actually more like downhill snowboarding or skiing. Longboarding is becoming extremely popular as a new way of transportation or just a cool way to roll through a workout in the park.

KOTA Longboards are custom made in Denver’s Rhino Art District. They even have a line of boards designed just for women. Their Longboard Betties group meets at Wash Park on a regular basis. Check the KOTA Longboards Facebook Page for event dates and details. First-timer longboarders get to try out a board, 20 minute instruction, and protective gear for free during Longboard Betties events.
