Paul Simon and wife arrested after alleged domestic incident

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Singer-songwriter Paul Simon and wife Edie Brickell must appear before a Connecticut judge on disorderly conduct charges Monday, police said.

The couple were arrested by New Canaan, Connecticut, police who were investigating a family dispute Saturday night, according to a police statement.

“Investigating officers gathered information and found probable cause to arrest” Simon, 72, and Brickell, 47, the police statement said.

Simon and Brickell were released on a Promise to Appear notice in Norwalk Superior Court on April 28, 2014, police said.
