Fort Carson reports ‘incident’ on base, but not shooting

FORT CARSON, Colo. — Fort Carson was placed on a lockout Wednesday afternoon after an incident at the Army base.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette, the incident was minor and there were no injuries.

A Springs TV station had quoted a man saying he saw a shooting on the base, but a Fort Carson spokesman said no shots were fired.

Another media report indicated traffic flow to and from the base was normal after the incident.
