3 injured in Larimer County explosion, fire

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — Three people were injured in an explosion and fire at an apartment complex in rural Larimer County early Saturday morning.

The explosion happened at a home in the 500 block of N. Bryan Avenue around 2:45 a.m., said Rafael Sanchez of the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

Two men and one woman were found injured outside the building. They were taken to local area hospitals, Sanchez said.

No names have been released.

The explosion forced residents in nearby apartments to evacuate, Sanchez said.

The cause of the explosion and fire is still under investigation.
