COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A gun was accidentally fired at a gun show in Colorado Springs Saturday, police said.

Colorado Springs Police Department officers told KRDO a vendor was setting up his guns at the Expo Center for a gun show when the back of one of the weapons was bumped, prompting it to fire.

The vendor had been testing the gun earlier in the week because it had a defect, according to police.

On the day of the incident, the vendor had removed the magazine from the weapon, but forgot to empty the chamber.

Police said event officials asked the vendor, who now faces charges of prohibited use of a weapon, to leave.
