DENVER -- The Obama administration wants Americans to know the deadline to enroll for health coverage of March 31 is real.

"In Colorado, we opted out of Obamacare, setting up our own health exchange," said Linda Kanamine, spokeswoman for Connect for Health Colorado. "We have enrolled more than 150,000 people and hope more will sign up for health insurance before the end of the sign-up period."

Those who have started the process but couldn't get finished, will have some time to finish the process without being assessed any fines. It’s unclear how long the extension will last and how many people will be able to sign up after the deadline.

This is what is in an email from one of the groups urging the 50 million uninsured in America to enroll:

“For anyone who wants the peace of mind of having health care, or who wants to take advantage of the financial assistance available to millions of uninsured Americans, there’s no time to wait,” the email reads, “The deadline is March 31st.

In the U. S. about 50 million are without insurance; the affordable health care act was to enroll about 7 million people, and late Friday word came that about 6 million have signed up, short of the mark, but many say a decent start after computer issues jammed up the process when registrations went online.

In Colorado, the exchange ranks fourth best for states with marketplace set-ups.

And with help centers open through the 31st, many more should be registered before the deadline.

Failing to get coverage will result in fines beginning this year for not having "Qualified" Health Insurance. In 2014, $95 per Adult or 1 percent of income, whichever is greater. 2015, $325 per Adult or 2 percent of income and 2016, $695 per Adult or 2.5 percent of income.

Two weeks ago the Administration quietly excused millions of people from the requirement to purchase health insurance or else pay a tax penalty.

Another “extension” by the stroke of the emperors pen since the self licking ice cream cone has not reached nor will it reach critical mass.
The emperor is a academia lawyer of the constitution as interpreted in his own little feeble mind.
