Colorado lawmakers consider toughening penalties for repeat DUIs

DENVER -- There is a new push in Colorado to toughen penalties on repeat DUI drivers.

There was significant progress Friday at the Colorado Legislature to make that happen.

Julie Hayden has information in her video report about the cooperation that's happening across the political aisle where this issue is concerned.

    Are thexisting laws not already though enough?

    I know people who had to pay small fortunes for their DUIs, including renting breathalyzer units court-ordered attached to their vehicles.
