Man arrested in connection with shooting death in Denver

DENVER — Denver Police arrested Timothy Wakefield on Wednesday night for investigation of first-degree murder in relation to a shooting in the 3200 block of West Avondale Drive.

Denver Police responded to a call at 8:17 p.m. when they discovered a male with an apparent gunshot wound.

He was then taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The case remains under investigation by the Denver Police Department.

The identity of the victim has not been revealed, pending an autopsy by the coroner’s office.
