WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A baby properly secured in a car safety seat was unharmed after the vehicle she was in rolled twice in an accident on Wadsworth Parkway just northeast of Standley Lake on Wednesday morning.

The Westminster Fire spokesperson said the female driver was distracted by the radio when she hit the median on Wadsworth just north of West 104th Avenue, causing the vehicle to roll twice.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle, and was found lying in the roadway when emergency crews arrived on scene around 11:30 a.m. However, the baby was not ejected because of the safety seat.

Both were transported to a nearby hospital. The female driver was being treated, but the baby was unharmed.

Sorry for the child if the mother is not smart enough to wear seat-belts.
Can’t adjust a radio without running into the median?
Hope she does not have a cell phone.

At least she was smart enough to use a car seat. Guess she didn’t think that the baby would need it’s mother to raise it when she chose to not wear a seatbelt??
