ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A 17-year-old North Carolina boy was charged with cyberbullying Friday after he posted a nude photo of a 15-year-old girl to an Instagram site, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The sheriff’s office said the girl sent the photograph to her boyfriend, who shared it with the suspect. The suspect put the photo on an Instagram site he created called TheseHoes01, the sheriff’s office said.

When deputies were alerted to the existence of the photo, they traced it back to the 17-year-old, a press release stated.

He was questioned at West Rowan High School, where he’s a student. Deputies said he was “open and honest about his actions and accepts responsibility.”

He was suspended from school after being charged.
