Investigation near water treatment facility in Adams County

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — A discovery near a water treatment facility in Adams County has investigators digging for answers.

An Aurora city employee came across what might be human remains at the facility Thursday. It’s in a rural area near Front Range Airport in Watkins.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office worked at the scene until about 5:30 p.m. before packing up for the night.

They’ll continue their work at the location first thing Friday morning.
