DENVER — A stabbing outside a bar in south Denver early Sunday sent a victim to the hospital.

According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred just before 2 a.m. at the Beaver Dam Bar and Grill at 7545 E. Iliff Ave.

Deputies believed the altercation happened outside of the bar and not inside.

Police scanners said the male victim was stabbed in the abdomen.

He was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries, deputies confirmed.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s office has taken the lead in this investigation.
