PUEBLO, Colo. — A man was arrested in connection with a murder that occurred at a Safeway grocery store in Pueblo.

The Pueblo Police Department announced Friday that 29-year-old Vincent Ballejos was taken into police custody.

Detectives said they found Ballejos in the 1600 block of Gayloard Street, and he was arrested without incident.

His arrest is connected to a murder investigation involving the death of 46-year-old Michael Flavin, said police.

On Jan. 20, law enforcement responded to a Safeway grocery store on W. 29th Street on the report of a male who had been attacked.

Police said they arrived on scene to find an unconscious Flavin, who later died from his injuries.

Ballejos was transported to the Pueblo County Jail and faces charges of second-degree murder, said police.
