DENVER — The warmer weather is back and it will be back for the weekend.

Enjoy it Saturday and Sunday because another blast of cold and snow is on the way.

“Sunday night into Monday, through the night Monday into early Tuesday we have the chance of snow,” says Chief Meteorologist Dave Fraser.

Not only that, but temperatures are going to crash from the 50s during the weekend to the bone-chilling mid-20s for highs Monday and Tuesday.

“And because of the prolonged nature of the snow from late Sunday through early Tuesday I do think 3 or 4 inches or even more is possible.”

The morning and evening commutes Monday and the morning commute Tuesday could all potentially be a mess because of the storm. This is your early warning to plan for extra time to get wherever you need to go at the beginning of the next work week.

Once the storm system departs, highs in the 40s return for Wednesday through Friday next week.
