ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A Home Depot employee made a lunging catch to save a baby as the child tumbled headfirst out of a shopping cart, a viral internet video shows.

The worker, identified by the Alaska Dispatch as Chris Strickland, can be seen standing nearby just before a baby carrier tips from its spot on the handles of the cart. Strickland can be seen dashing to the rescue and snatching a pink-clad baby before it can hit the ground.

The incident reportedly happened on Jan. 8.

Strickland declined a request to speak with Alaska Dispatch, but did verify that the video was of him.
