Broncos playoff win gives economic boost to Colorado

DENVER -- Play it and they will spend. That’s a good thing for the metro Denver area.

Denver’s win over San Diego means the AFC Championship game will be played Sunday in the Mile High City.  And that means at least one more week of pro football-related revenue for Colorado.

A spokesperson for Visit Denver says the state should see an infusion of  “$10-20 million” for the week.

A quick peek into businesses along Denver’s 16th St. Mall showed brisk buying for Broncos merchandise.

Denver plays New England Sunday afternoon for the right to go to the Super Bowl.
