AURORA, Colo. -- Aurora police are looking for a man who they said tried to kidnap a 13-year-old girl Wednesday afternoon.
The incident started near E. 13th Avenue and Moline Street around 3:20 p.m., said Frank Fania of the Aurora Police Department.
The girl told police she was walking home from school and saw a newer model grey or brown Chevy Cruze with tinted windows drive past her several times.
When she was near E. 16th Avenue and Oswego Street, she saw the same car parked on the street.
"Once she walked past the car, the driver got out and grabbed her arm," Fania said. "The victim was able to pull away and run as the car fled."
Fania said the man was described as Hispanic in his late 30s or early 40s. He is between 5-feet-6 and 5-feet-8 and has a medium build. He was wearing a blue baseball hat with "New York" written in white. He also had a light grey zippered hoodie and kakki pants.
Fania said the Cruze had a temporary license plate in the rear window.
