Thornton boy dies after being struck in throat during fight

THORNTON, Colo. — A juvenile boy died early Saturday after suffering a throat injury during a fight, the Thornton Police Department reported.

Officers responded to the 4200 block of East 100th Avenue on a report of an injured party, police said. They found a young male who have been involved in a fight and apparently been struck in the throat.

The victim eventually died. Several other juveniles reportedly involved in the fight left the scene before police arrived.

Police later found and held two young males in the case. One 17-year-old boy was arrested.
