DENVER — After as many as 15 robberies in the Denver Metro area, two suspects believed to be the “Milli Vanilli bandits” were formally advised of the charges against them on Thursday.

Derrick Ervin, 29, and Jeremy Ervin, 33, stand charged with one count each of kidnapping, and multiple counts of aggravated robbery and menacing involving numerous victims, the Denver District Attorney’s Office said.

Nicknamed the “Milli Vanilli Bandits” because of their disguises’ resemblance to the 1980s pop stars, the men are suspects in the robberies of more than a dozen pizza parlors, sandwich shops, salons and other businesses, police said.

Aurora Police Department helped capture the men, DPD said.
