Restaurant Report Card

FOX31 Denver would like to make a clarification about a restaurant that failed one of our recent Restaurant Report Cards.

We gave Volcano Restaurant in Centennial an “F” for having more than five critical health code violations in each of its last two unannounced inspections, which took place in March and September.

In our story, we noted that the owner refused our request for an interview.

However, after our story aired, he contacted us to let us know he was unaware our Report Cards are based on the last two inspections,  and that he was responsible for only the September inspection because he purchased the restaurant in July.

Volcano’s new owner wants customers to know he has corrected the violations that took place under the previous owner, as well as the violations from the unannounced inspection in September.

Well good! Shame on your KDVR for irresponsible reporting! I have eaten at this restaurant many times and it was the best experience I have had with Asian food in this area!!!

I also LOVE Volcano! The new owners are awesome and the food is fabulous. Shame on you Fox31 for using bad information for being so stingy with your apology. These are great, hard working people and their restaurant is one of my favorites.
