DENVER -- Saturday’s performance by a vocal band from Colorado at a Texas airport continues to reverberate around the country.

Members of Face, an all-vocal rock group, surprised stranded travelers at Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport by singing Christmas songs to ease their flight delays.

“Most of us were grumpy,’” said Mark Megibow, the group’s “beat boxer.” “We thought we might be able to do something about that. Just go around and sing strolling Christmas carols or something.”

The group was on its way back to Denver from a performance in Ft. Worth when an ice storm kept their plane and many others from taking off.

The impromptu performance at several airport gates got rave reviews there and has now gone viral on the Internet. You can watch a YouTube video below.

“At first we saw people look at us like 'what’s that, what are they doing?'” Megibow said.

“It was afterwards that we really started to get how much it was meaning to people. People were coming up to us very sincerely and saying I’m having a lousy day and you really made me feel a lot better. That’s when it really touched us.”

On Monday night, Face performed at the Boulder Dinner Theater. It has several more Christmas-themed concerts planned during the holiday season.
