DENVER -- Thanksgiving was more like dinner and a show at Urban Outreach Denver Thursday.

An 11-piece band from Mexico provided the entertainment Thursday afternoon. Urban Outreach hosted its community dinner at Cervantes in the Five Points neighborhood, which isn't exactly out of the ordinary.

"This is an extension of what we normally do on Thursdays," says Isaac Olivarez, lead pastor of City Life Church. "Every Thursday at 6 p.m. we feed Five Points, and so being that Thanksgiving is on a Thursday there was never a chance of us closing our doors. So we thought let's move it up a bit and invite a few more friends."

City Life Church is one of 14 churches with more than 150 volunteers who made the community Thanksgiving celebration possible.
