RYE, Colo. -- Police were looking for a person of interest Thursday after the bodies of three people were found inside of a house following a fire in Rye on Wednesday.

Officials declared the fire was arson on Thursday.

Fire investigators are now looking for a 59-year-old man who they term a person of interest in the case. Harry Mapps was an occupant of the house until about a week ago.

“He’s not here anymore and we don’t have any details as to why,” said Capt. Don Leach of the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office. “We believe he was here recently so he could have relevant information.”

Investigators are also hoping to find the Chrysler Town and Country van Mapps was believed to be driving. A Colorado license plate associated with that vehicle has now been recovered. Mapps, who has ties to Texas, is described as six feet fall, weighing 135 pounds.
