DENVER -- There are many people who don’t have the Thanksgiving holiday off, including Denver’s newest police officers.

The Class 13-1 graduated at the end of October, after spending six months being pushed to the limit and tested in every possible way.

The 30 recruits were the first hired by Denver in five years because of the tough economy.

The Denver Police Department gave FOX31 Denver exclusive, unprecedented access to the police academy.

We want to show you what it takes to become a police officer.

Find out if all of them make it to graduation in our 30 minute special report called “Earning the Badge” Thursday night at 5:30 and 9:30 only on FOX31 Denver.
