DENVER — Broncos head coach John Fox returned to Denver Wednesday, and he didn’t have to fight any crowds or air travel delays to do it.

He flew back to Denver from Charlotte, NC on board team owner Pat Bowlen’s private jet.

It’s the first time he’s been back in Denver since his successful open heart surgery at the beginning of the month. Fox had an aortic valve replaced.

His plane landed at Centennial Airport about a mile away from where the team was practicing Wednesday afternoon.

But, he didn’t stop by. He drove home to be with his family for Thanksgiving.

Peyton Manning says he’s been in touch with Fox via telephone and text messaging this week.

The team is thankful he’s back in Denver and players seem to be as anxious to have Fox back with them as he probably is to get back.

Doctors haven’t said when he can return to the Broncos.
