COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The District Attorney’s office in Colorado Springs filed charges Tuesday against a police officer accused of drunken driving and taking evidence.

Investigators said Officer David Rosenoff was involved in a crash on Interstate 25 and Woodmen Road in November. While at the hospital, his blood was drawn to be tested for alcohol. The sample later turned up missing, police said.

Investigators said they believe Rosenoff took the sample.

The DA is charging him with tampering with physical evidence, driving under the influence and careless driving.

He is being removed from paid administrative leave to an unpaid leave.

This cop is one of the good ones … he didn’t beat up innocent citizens, shoot a family pet (or even an elk) and didn’t lie under oath or submit false reports. Must be a slow day for the Gang-in-Blue.
