DENVER — Two people were arrested Sunday afternoon following a high-speed chase on Interstate 25, the Colorado State Patrol reported.

Drivers on northbound I-25 reported seeing a tan Chevrolet Blazer speeding and violating various traffic laws about 12:37 p.m., police said. A CSP trooper found the vehicle within minutes near milepost 171, but the driver fled.

Troopers ended the pursuit, but the Blazer crashed a few miles later near milepost 175. The passenger in the vehicle was arrested on the spot. The driver ran across some nearby train tracks, but was also caught.

The Blazer was found to be stolen, CSP reported.
