Police: Man shoots another while going through Lakewood car wash

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — One man was sent to a hospital Wednesday afternoon after police said another man shot him while the two were in a car inside a Lakewood car wash.

The shooting happened near W. Jewell Avenue and S. Kipling Street.

Lakewood police spokesman Steve Davis said the two men were acquaintances but did not elaborate on why the shooting happened.

The shooting victim was taken to St. Anthony’s Hospital, Davis said. His condition has not been released.

Police said the shooter left the scene and they are now looking for him. His name has not been released.
