Lady Gaga is going to be the first superstar singer to perform in outer space according to a report in the newest issue of Us Weekly.

Plans are for her to blast off in a Virgin Galactic ship and perform a single song during the Zero G Colony high tech music festival in New Mexico.

This is supposed to happen in early 2015, about six months after Virgin Galactic launches its first commercial space flight.

Zero G Colony is a three-day long high tech festival that will take place at Virgin Galactic’s headquarters at Spaceport America in the southern New Mexico desert. It will feature world-class entertainment and cutting-edge technology.

Gaga’s performance from space is planned for the third day of the festival at dawn according to the magazine.
