MAYVILLE, Wisc. — A Wisconsin man was arrested after police said he used a stun gun on his wife because she lost a football bet.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the woman and her husband, John Grant, were watching the Monday Night Football game at a bar called Sidelines Tap.

Grant told police he and his wife made a bet that he could use a Taser on her if the Bears won.

The Bears would eventually defeat the Packers 27-20 and the couple went outside to smoke a cigarette.

That’s when Grant used the Taser on her twice, police said.

Grant’s wife told police she did not give consent to be Tased.

Cell phone video police examined appeared to show her “laughing and it seemed apparent that Ms. Grant had consented,” the arresting officer wrote in his report.

Grant was charged with felony possession of an electronic weapon.
