Denver grand jury indicts member of ‘North American Man-Boy Love Association’

DENVER — A man who allegedly spent more than $4,000 on videos of child pornography was indicted by a federal grand jury in Denver this week.

According to Colorado’s District Attoreny John F. Walsh’s office, Colorado Springs’ Clifton Brett Bennett, 55, was indicted on one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography on Tuesday. He stands accused of knowingly receiving and possessing child pornography.

Bennett is also a member of “North American Man-Boy Love Association,” according to investigators, who, working on a tip from the U.S. Postal Inspector, obtained a search warrant for Bennett’s residence in January.

During the execution of that warrant, Walsh’s office indicated that investigators found explicit images of prepubescent boys on Bennett’s computer and a thousands of dollars worth of DVDs containing child pornography, many of which had been delivered via U.S. Mail from New York.

Following the discoveries, Bennett was arrested, He has been held in state custody siince that time. Bennett has a prior state conviction for Sexual Exploitation of Children, for which he served time in jail.

If convicted, Bennett could face between five and 40 years in prison, and up to a $500,000 fine.
